The Fine Print

Episode 1

PERFECT’s comeback billboard towers over rain-soaked Seoul. K-Pop Vampires: The Fine Print.
Hana stands at the agency entrance, reminding herself to be professional. She can scream internally.
Hana’s phone shows news of Yuren’s three-month hiatus. He hadn’t even posted goodbye.
S. Hana wears her new assistant producer badge. A proper salary, a comeback credit, and access to the people who last saw Yuren.
Head producer Baek briefs Hana on managing the comeback shoot, rehearsals, and the band’s schedule.
Baek hands Hana an access card and lays out the rules, including no questions about Yuren.
Hana notices the empty space where Yuren’s portrait used to hang. Three months, and they’ve already taken it down.
Hana enters the luxurious rehearsal studio and sees PERFECT in person.
Hana looks up at Seojun standing on the studio’s upper balcony.
Jaeven complains that Seojun gets seven more seconds on camera. Hana points out that it is his verse.
Miki dangles Hana’s stolen staff badge and calls it a welcome prank. Hana asks for her building access back.
Taeron makes a kneeling stylist repeat his apology for a mark on his boot.
Hana interrupts Taeron with the call sheet. He asks if she is jealous. She replies that they are behind schedule.
Iwon tries to make Hana deliver an unverified change to Jaeven’s schedule. She asks for Seojun’s approval in the group chat.
Jaeven grabs Miki by the collar over a defaced photograph. Miki taunts him about explaining it on a livestream.
Seojun gives one quiet command from above: Let go. Jaeven releases Miki.
Hana watches as Seojun comes downstairs toward her.
Seojun questions who approved Hana’s appointment and who signed her offer.
Hana shows her recruitment email. Seojun tells her to request another group. She says she requested this one.
Seojun asks if she always ignores warnings. Hana replies: Only the unhelpful ones.
Iwon explains that their families signed a pact. Staying together was not a career choice.
Hana gets the members into formation and sets rehearsal rules. Miki says she is taking a lot away from them.
High overhead, a stage light starts to slip from its mounting.
Hana looks up at the falling light.
Hana shoves a crew member clear and shouts: Move!
Seojun rushes across the studio toward Hana with impossible speed.
Seojun catches Hana as the light crashes where she stood.
In Seojun’s arms, Hana asks whether the crew member got clear. He answers yes.
Hana checks that nobody else is hurt. Seojun tells her to save the questions for later.
A tiny scratch on Hana’s hand draws a bead of blood against Seojun’s black silk shirt.
Hana’s hand rests on Seojun’s chest. A heavy heartbeat sounds beneath her palm.
Seojun looks shaken. He thinks: No.
Close together, Hana says his heart is racing. Seojun replies: It shouldn’t.
Their faces linger close. Seojun tells her to breathe. Hana thinks that is very easy for him to say.
Seojun offers Hana a handkerchief and warns that she could have been killed. Hana says the crew member could have been, too.
Seojun tends to Hana’s injured hand after the rescue.
The other four members watch Hana and Seojun in silence beside the shattered light.
In the corridor, Hana reminds herself to find Yuren, keep her job, and stop thinking about Seojun’s mouth.
Behind a closed door, Baek bows to Seojun. Small horns reveal her hidden nature.
Baek tells Seojun that the recommendation for Hana’s appointment came from the sixth house.
Seojun reads S. Hana’s recruitment file. Yuren authorized the appointment yesterday.
The handwritten instruction in the file reads: Hire her. Keep her away from Seojun.
